Sally Hansen, Green with Envy

Oh man. It's been a while, hasn't it? :) Sorry about that; I actually lived without internet for about half a week before I left for my parents' home, whereupon I spent most of it doing things away from the computer. This is the first time I've had time for myself, and I've never been so grateful for all of the pictures I've been keeping in the vault for such an occasion.  Sorry, everybody.  I'll try to let you all know if something like this will ever happen again.

Anyway, on to what you're here for! This is Sally Hansen's Green with Envy, a squishy green creme with jelly-like consistency.  Nothing to complain about here--this lovely applied perfectly in two coats and I performed little to no cleanup for it.  The brush was a liiittle bit stiff, like most of the Xtreme Wear line, and you had to apply lightly for the sake of perfect application. It may streak, depending on the wearer.

Awesome.  Green with Envy is perfect for summer.

Oh, before I forget! I also wanted to thank you all for the suggestions and comments. I haven't ordered anything yet--further research seems to ask me to buy my first Lippmann polishes, as well! (Aaaaaaaah!) It's that limited edition All That Jazz set.  Looks awesome. So does Across the Universe.  What do you all think?

Sally Hansen, Purple Pizazz

An old NOTD that I'd taken pictures of before the camera fiasco, then never uploaded onto my computer. Man, I've forgotten how gorgeous/cheap/well-applied this is!

Anyway, this is Purple Pizazz, the deep violet jelly that I'd said I had decidedly not bought although I found it. A couple days later, I did, because I have no sense of self-control. On the plus side, it seems to be cooler rather than warmer against Milani Totally Cool (I will do a comparison once they are in the same place:  also, Pizazz has pink shimmer while TC has a pink shimmer that turns bronze) and, um, absolutely gorgeous.

Here it is in direct sunlight.  This is second-day wear, so please ignore the tipwear!

Aaand from the side, because I can't help myself.

This is four coats, which is generally a little too high-maintenance for me but the color was so pretty and the application so easy that it didn't bother me at all.  It's lovely.  I really like it. :)

Sally Hansen, Opulent Cloud

So. My Opulent Cloud story:

I'd gotten wind of all the hype surrounding this really difficult-to-find polish. I saw the swatches. I thought 'meh'. It didn't seem to be one of those things that actually worked on me, so I forgot about it. By 'forgot about it' I mean 'stared at the swatches every time the name came up to see if it looked awesome'.

Anyway, about two weeks ago I was going through the local CVS when I found a full display of the limited HD series. And two Opulent Clouds. I picked one up. I nearly danced with joy. I took a walk around the entire store to calm myself, paid for it, and walked out.

I understand that this reaction is very extreme for a polish I didn't like. But when I studied it in the sun, I realized that it was absolutely lovely in the bottle. I could try it, once. If I didn't like it, I could always swap it to an unfortunate Opulent Cloud lover for something quite nice indeed. I took it home.

Then it sat on my bookshelf until... er, now, after I've tried it on for the first time.

Guys? This polish LOVES my skin.

As usual, the last, far-off pic describes my love affair with Opulent Cloud better than the close-ups could. Quite enamored of the angle pics, though.

This is two easy peasy coats. Applied like whoa (brush is funny-looking, but okay) and dried like whoa and looks like THAT. Shines a lot more subtly than the pictures would have you believe, and for sure it's a warm gold flash. On me, it looks gunmetally and nowhere near its grey-purple base. (IRL.) I look like scifi. I love it. It rather loves me, too.

Well, okay. I need to get to the post office and the supermarket before the sun sets completely, and before I decide to trek to the gym, and I kind of want to roll around with a mocha before hitting the treadmill.

Ah, Fridays. How I love thee.

(I kind of wish I picked up the other bottle instead of letting some other intrepid nail junkie take it. I'll be so sad when this is all gone.)
